Worldclass rafting in Åre, Sweden We offer worldclass rafting on Vålån and Gevsjöströmmarna. Both trips contains extreme steep and technical rapids. On Vålån we also run a waterfall! We can also offer rapid swimming and surfing with the raft, all the time surroundings with beautiful nature and mountains.
	Rafting Tångböleströmmarna This is a nice trip to start with if you never has done rafting before. The trip begins at lake Ånnsjön 30 km west of Åre. The stretch covers three rapids with current water between. The third rapid is roughest and 3 km long. After the second rapid we go ashore and make some coffee on open fire and eat sandwiches. Grade 1-3. Total time 5 hours from Åre. Age limit 10 years. Cheaper for children. Season: 20 may - 30 september.
	Rafting Vålån The trip begins in Vålådalen 40 km from Åre. After a short calm paddling, a 7 km long stretch of rapids begins. It is one of the most technical rapids in Sweden. For example, there are steep rapids with drops, waterfall and 90 degrees curves. We eat lunch beside a beautiful waterfall. We offer surfing and rapidswimming. Grade 1-5 . Total time 6 hours. Age limit 16-18 years depending on water level. Season: 1 - 25 july.
	Rafting Gevsjöströmmarna A rough stretch of rapids with Sweden’s steepest runable rapids. The trip starts at the lake Gevsjön 25 km west of Åre. We pass several thrilling rapids and do some surfing on our way down to Storfallet, (The Big Fall) where we have luncheon and jump from cliffs into the river. Then vi run the awesome Storfallet with 6 m drop. The trip ends with another thrilling steep rapid. Grade 1-4. Total time 6,5 hours. Age limit 18 years. Season: 25 july - 30 september.
Safety JoPe Fors & Fjäll beginned 1989 but have worked with rafting since 1986. We are working with a high degree of saftey by a well-developed saftey system. All the guides and the firm JoPe Fors & Fjäll are authorised by the National Maritime Administration. We use wetsuits, rafting lifejackets and helmets. However, all rafting and other activities are performed at your own risk. Personal equipment for rafting Bring a raincoat, woollen or fleece vest, shorts, trainingshoes and woollen socks. This is included in the price All equipment for the activities, lunch or coffee with sandwiches according to theinformation in this brochure. When required, we supply a shuttle from Åre, Undersåker or another agreed site.
